We were honored to create this memorial video for Riley, a beloved Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, for a family from New York, NY who wanted the world to know just how full a life she lived.
Riley was, by every measure, a dog who did it all. The tribute opens with a tender, sweeping orchestral piece, a string-forward melody that feels both cosmic and intimate, carrying her story from puppyhood through every season of her life. You see her napping in improbable positions on the couch, pressing her nose against the camera, wearing reindeer antlers with the dignity only a very good girl can manage. Then the video opens up the way Riley herself must have, stepping into mountain landscapes and forested trails, bounding through snow, plunging into lakes, watching the water with that focused, alert energy her breed was born with. A Montana lake cabin seems to have been a favorite place. She was equally at home on a sandy ocean beach or curled beside a stone fireplace, and the video honors both versions of her without missing a beat.
The second half of the tribute shifts into something warmer and more country-hearted, a soulful acoustic track with a voice that feels like it was made for sitting on a porch at the end of a good day. It suits Riley perfectly. Here the video lingers on the relationships that defined her: the playful chaos of running with other dogs, the quiet closeness she shared with the people who loved her most, the wider family gathered around her.
